KATHMANDU, August 7: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday increased by 10.27 points to close at 2,123.82 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,113.55 points and went to the day’s highest of 2,132.49 points within the first few minutes of the commencement of trading. However, the index plunged to the lowest of 2,108.65 points in the successive intraday trading. In the last two hours, the market recouped around 15 points.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies also increased 3.11 points. While the life insurance declined by 4.55 points, the remaining 12 trading groups gained in their average shares prices.
The total turnover amount stood at Rs 2.67 billion, a fall from the average daily turnover of Rs 3.83 billion in the last week. Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 138.98 million. Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the biggest gainer while Naya Sarathi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost loser.
