KATHMANDU, May 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday gained 12.73 points to close at 1,869.73 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,857.23 points and gained 11 points within the first few minutes. In the next moment, it fell to the day’s low at 1,846.98 points, while it recovered around 23 points before the market closed for the day.

All the 13 trading groups gained in their market values. Non-life insurance added the largest of 131.67 points in its share price.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies increased 2.07 points. In the intraday trading, 162 listed companies were the gainers, while 50 companies lost in their market values.
The daily turnover amount was recorded at Rs 732.68 million, which was more than Rs 620.26 million recorded for Wednesday.
Among individual companies, Nabil Bank Limited Promoter Share had the biggest shares transaction of Rs 45 million. NIBL Growth Fund was the biggest gainer, while NMB Debenture 2087/88 lost the highest percentage of its market price.
