KATHMANDU, April 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday increased slightly by 0.15 points to close at 1,969.17 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,969.02 points and fell to 1,965.16 points, while it surged to the day’s high at 1,979.55 points within the first one and a half hours. The market however declined continuously in the next moment and reached the day’s low at 1,963.42 points in the last 15 minutes of trading hours. The market recovered around six points before it closed for the day.
NEPSE inches up 6.70 points; daily turnover increases to Rs 20....
The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased 0.60 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 2.53 billion from Rs 2.05 billion on Monday.
Three groups including manufacturing and processing, finance and banking posted gains of 49.38 points, 47.62 points and 2.19 points, respectively. Of the 10 losers, non-life insurance shed the highest of 44.85 points.
Among individual companies, 113 were recorded as gainers whereas 117 were the losers.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited Promoter Share had the largest turnover of Rs 633.09 million. Pokhara Finance Ltd was the topmost gainer, while Mai Khola Hydropower Limited lost the highest of 7.84 percent of its market value.
