KATHMANDU, May 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday lost 31.76 points to close at below 2,300 points.
The market that opened at 2,307.44 points went to a straight fall in half an hour of the commencement of the transaction for the day. However, it then moved in an upward graph for a short time period before falling down to close at 2,275.68 points.

Amid the ongoing slump in the secondary market, the daily turnover amount stood at just Rs 1.26 billion, a decline from Rs 1.42 billion the previous day. The indices of the entire 13 trading groups declined in the intraday trading.
Arun Valley Hydropower Company had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 45.89 million. Green Ventures Limited was the topmost loser while the share price of Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha gained the largest percent.
