TANAHUN, March 22: A new cave has been found in Bandipur. The Sarpani cave with a length of around 20-meter was discovered near Pauwa of Bandipur Rural Municipality-2.
Chairperson of Bandipur Rural Municipality, Surendra Bahadur Thapa, said the cave was found in the course of the exploration of possible areas for rock climbing in Bandipur on Thursday.

A team comprising adventure tourism entrepreneur Chandra Ale, paragliding pilot Samannoya Pradhan and entrepreneur Sukram Tamang, among others, was exploring possible places for rock climbing.
Chairperson Thapa mentioned that the new cave would help add a new dimension to the tourism sector of Bandipur. The new cave lies around one kilometer from Bandipur bazaar, he added.
Tourists visiting Bandipur can enjoy the cave and rock climbing. There is immense potential for rock climbing as the cliff outside the cave is around 300-meter wide and 50-meter tall, shared Chairperson Thapa.
There is a space inside the cave with the capacity of around 40-50 people.
