New Civil Service Act serves the interests of service seekers, govt employees: DPM Khadka

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that the new Civil Service Act would be in the welfare of all service seekers and employees.

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that the new Civil Service Act would be in the welfare of all service seekers and employees.


Addressing the national gathering of the Nepal Civil Service Employees Union here, the minister said, “The Act has protected rights and welfare of government employees. It has also ensured the right of general Nepali people to get services in an easy way.”


The government is unable to add facilities and perks to civil servants this time due to the current economic situation of the country, he said while assuring that their concerns would be addressed once the economic situation improves.

He asked government employees to focus on ensuring that people get services in an effective and prompt manner as guaranteed by the constitution.
