KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Nepali Congress central member and defence minister Dr Minendra Rijal has said that new faces should come forward from the party's 14th general convention.

Speaking at a press meet organized today, he said that a new face would come to the leadership after the general convention. "People may not believe when they go to the polls with the current leadership. A new face must come to the party," he said. Leader Rijal said that a common candidate would be decided from the rival faction of the party.
He mentioned that he is now thinking of running for the post of General Secretary as he has been a central member before. "The candidature of the president has not been decided yet. I am looking for a seat," he said. Minister Rijal said that a common candidate will be selected from the rival faction by this evening.
