New Swiss ambassador presents her credentials to Prez

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The newly-appointed Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, Dr Danielle Meuwly, presented her Letter of Credence to President Ram Chandra Paudel amidst a special ceremony held at Shital Niwas on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The newly-appointed Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, Dr Danielle Meuwly, presented her Letter of Credence to President Ram Chandra Paudel amidst a special ceremony held at Shital Niwas on Thursday.


During the cordial exchange, Ambassador Meuwly reiterated to President Paudel Switzerland’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Alongside Switzerland’s ongoing development cooperation with Nepal, Ambassador Meuwly aims to enhance cooperation in the economic sector as well as cultural exchange with people-to-people connections, showcasing the rich cultural heritage that both countries have to offer.


Ambassador Meuwly holds a doctorate in economics and a degree in advanced European studies with extensive career in diplomacy and international affairs at Swiss Foreign Ministry, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank and the United Nations.


“Switzerland is committed to continue its long standing productive partnership with Nepal under Ambassador Meuwly’s leadership to achieve shared goals and Nepal’s prosperity,” says a press statement issued by the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal.
