KATHMANDU, May 6: The next hearing on the minor rape case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is scheduled for 14 May.
The case against Lamichhane was deferred by the Patan High Court yesterday.

The case against Lamichhane was to be heard by the division bench of Chief Judge Nripdhoj Niraula and Judge Durga Prasad Dhungel of the Patan High Court.
In the initial hearing, Chief Judge Niraula had directed the summoning of both parties to the case. Typically, it is customary for the judge who issued the directive to abstain from presiding over the case to avoid any conflict of interest.
