NHRC urges govt to save Dr KC

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called upon the government to find out a solution through dialogue to save life of Dr Govinda KC.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called upon the government to find out a solution through dialogue to save life of Dr Govinda KC.  


Dr KC has been staging a hunger strike at the premises of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for the past two weeks demanding crucial reforms in the medical education sector.

Issuing a press release on Monday, NHRC Spokesperson Mohana Ansari drew the attention of the government to be sensitive to save the life of Dr KC.


The NHRC also urged the government not to allow repetition of such incidents by finding a solution of the problems through talks. The press release stated that the NHRC found Dr KC’s health deteriorating.
