KATHMANDU, Dec 10: NIC Asia said Friday that its clients will get to transfer funds to other directly to accounts in other financial institutions using its internet banking services.
Issuing a statement, the bank said it had, in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL), launched the Interbank Payment System (IPS) direct service through its internet banking system from December 5.

The bank said it was the first financial institute in Nepal to incorporate the NCHL-IPS funds transfer system through internet banking services.
The bank’s account holders who have subscribed to its internet banking services can now transfer funds to more than 60 financial institutions, including all commercial banks, which were associated with the NCHL-IPS system, it said.
“This service has been launched in continuation to serve our valued customers exclusively by offering an array of products and services reaffirming our commitment to focus on customers,” it said.
In the statement, Bhanu Dabadi, the bank’s head of Corporate Communication and Branding, said: “This service expects to meet the preference of customer to avail banking services from their own locations.
