MANAHARI, July 16: The Head Teachers of 19 community schools in Manhari rural municipality of Makwanpur have jointly resigned. Among those who resigned are the principles of 18 primary schools and one secondary school within the rural municipality.
The head teachers have resigned in protest against the act of the Rural Municipality to transfer the principals without any reason in the name of improving the quality of the school.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Rural Municipality, Ranjan Kalakheti, said that many principals have agreed with the transfer decision made by the rural municipality. He claimed that the president of the Teachers' Association was politicizing the issue.
This is a decision made by the education committee of the rural municipality and effort was made to carry out the transfer in mutual agreement. But it is not accepted, we will proceed according to the law, Kalakheti said.
