NIS Industry Outreach Meet organized in New Delhi

KATHMANDU, April 12: Ahead of the upcoming Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024, an Industry Outreach Meet was organized in New Delhi on April 11, 2024. The event, organized by the Embassy of Nepal in India along with the PHDCCI India-Nepal Center, aimed to boost participation from Indian industry leaders and highlight investment opportunities in Nepal.

KATHMANDU, April 12: Ahead of the upcoming Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024, an Industry Outreach Meet was organized in New Delhi on April 11, 2024. The event, organized by the Embassy of Nepal in India along with the PHDCCI India-Nepal Center, aimed to boost participation from Indian industry leaders and highlight investment opportunities in Nepal.


During the meet, Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal's Ambassador to India, and Sushil Bhatta, CEO of Investment Board Nepal, provided detailed insights into the promising sectors for investment in Nepal, including hydropower, tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing. The presentations emphasized Nepal’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment through recent policy reforms and simplified business procedures.

The NIS 2024, scheduled for April 28-29 in Kathmandu, promises to connect investors with key decision-makers, explore diverse projects, and showcase Nepal’s development initiatives. The Government of Nepal is keen to attract foreign investment to drive the country's economic growth.
