KATHMANDU, August 28: NMB Bank on Sunday signed an agreement with British International Investment to receive a loan of USD 25 million.
According to NMB Bank, it will be investing the loan amount in the development of hydropower and renewable energy projects. Speaking at a program, NMB Bank CEO Sunil KC said the loans will benefit the investors in energy related projects.

The private bank has also received loans of USD 65 million from the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank in the past four years. Similarly, it has also taken USD 20 million in debt capital from German Development Finance Institution DEG and USD 12 million from Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets.
