KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai on Monday reiterated that those police officers who are eyeing for adjustment package will not be promoted.
Participating at the interaction program on Police Adjustment Bill 2019, Secretary Rai said that package will award the officers with two additional grades if they go for an adjustment.

The committee members, however, quoting the precedent that Nepal Army officers were promoted while integrating to Armed Police Force and public service opting for adjustment promoted to another level, demanded an upgrade to those officers who wish to pick an adjustment package.
The bill was endorsed by Parliamentary Committee on State Affairs amidst demands for promotion.
