Nomination registration for NRNA election begins, voter list of 3,590 people made public

KATHMANDU, March 7: Nomination registration for the election of the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has started from today. According to Bhimsen Banjara, head of the election committee of NRNA, the nomination registration process will continue from today till 5 PM tomorrow as per the pre-determined schedule of the association.

According to Bhimsen Banjara, head of the election committee of NRNA, the nomination registration process will continue from today till 5 PM tomorrow as per the pre-determined schedule of the association.

The election committee has stated that the person who wants to be a candidate can register his/her candidature online or by attending the office of the association directly. The election committee has stated that nominations are going to be made for 51 office-bearers including the president of NRNA. The election scheduled for last October was postponed due to a dispute among representatives.


The election committee has made public the schedule of online elections for March 21 and 22. The election committee has also made public the voter list of 3590 voters recorded till this morning. For the new leadership of the association, Dr Badri KC, Rabina Thapa and Kul Acharya have announced their candidacies.
