Nominations of ‘Surya International Award-2018’ out

The nomination of ‘Surya International Award-2019’, which is being organized to promote Nepali film, has been announced in a special event held at APF headquarters, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The nomination of ‘Surya International Award-2018’, which is being organized to promote Nepali film, has been announced in a special event held at APF headquarters, Kathmandu on Tuesday.


Three outstanding filmmakers who were nominated under various categories conferred with certificates. Meanwhile, the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ will be presented to legendary filmmaker Nir Shah for his contribution to the Nepali film fraternity.

‘Prasad’, Chakka Panja’ and ‘A Mere Hajar 3 are competing in the ‘Best Film’ category. Similarly, Bipin Karki (Prasad), Anmol KC (Captain) and Pradeep Khadka (Love Station) have been nominated in ‘Best Actor’. And Namrata Shrestha (Prasad), Samragyee RL Shah (Kaira) and Pooja Sharma (Ram Kahani) have been nominated for the ‘Best Actress’ category.


The final award ceremony will be held in Tokyo, Japan on November 7.
