The NPSEC has been demanding professional stability for school employees working in public schools along with various service facilities.

Shantinath Yogi, general secretary of the NPSEC, said that the community schools are going to be closed from June 18 according to the predetermined schedule.

"After the completion of the initial and subsequent phases of the protest programs, as announced during the press conference on May 31, it became evident that instead of genuinely addressing the concerns raised by the protesters, the government resorted to employing police repression. Consequently, the subordinate committees have been directed to implement the predetermined plan of temporarily suspending community schools starting from June 18," said the statement.
