NRA move to preserve historic places appreciated

REPUBLICA (KATHMANDU): The Nepal Heritage Society has welcomed the decision of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) to preserve various monuments including the neo-classical Rana era palaces in the Kathmandu Valley.

REPUBLICA (KATHMANDU): The Nepal Heritage Society has welcomed the decision of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) to preserve various monuments including the neo-classical Rana era palaces in the Kathmandu Valley.

Recently the NRA had directed the authorities concerned to properly study the damage caused to the historic palaces before starting any reconstruction/demolition work. 


“We appreciate the overwhelming concern toward the preservation of Lichchhavi and Malla-era building,” reads the statement issued by the NRA.
