During the conference, the experts are scheduled to deliver over 60 presentations in different themes such as education, disaster risk reduction, agriculture, health, infrastructure development, socio-economic development, social security, sustainable energy, technology transfers, among others.
“With the anticipated stability of the new government and its focus on economic development, NRNA believes there is an urgency to systematize the previous knowledge sharing efforts and mobilize the knowledge of diasporas to complement the government’s development efforts,” the organization said.
The organization said that the mobilization of knowledge will augment the country’s knowledge base and help close the knowledge gap that the government and Nepal’s private sectors consider impediments to their development objectives. “It will also lead to knowledge transfer, investment, and long term capacity building of the country,” it said in the statement.
The event coincides with the 16th NRN Day. A number of educational and research institutes, private sector and other Nepali stakeholders will be supporting the event. The organization said that it will be holding such convention in every two years.
