NSPN and FSFN to undergo merger by August 11, Yadav to be chairperson

KATHMANDU, July 21: The unification process between Baburam Bhattrai-led Naya Shakti Party, Nepal (NSPN)  and Upendra Yadav-led Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal(FSFN) has reached the final point.

KATHMANDU, July 21: The unification process between Baburam Bhattrai-led Naya Shakti Party, Nepal (NSPN)  and Upendra Yadav-led Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal(FSFN) has reached the final point.


Preparations are being made for merging the two parties by August 11, it has been learned. “All the things except few trivial technical matters have already been settled as part of the preparations for the merger of the two parties”, Rekha Yadav, a member of Political Committee under the FSFN told Republica Online.

According to the FSFN leaders, their party will make a formal decision regarding the merger at the meetings due to be held on July 26, 27 and 28.


“There is no longer a row over who will lead the unified party. We have already reached an agreement to make Upendra Yadav the chief of the unified party. Likewise, we have also agreed to make Dr Baburam Bhattarai the senior leader of the unified party”, said  Rekha Yadav.
