NTA's implementation of MDMS marks milestone in Nepal's mobile device market

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has implemented Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) from October 7.

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has implemented Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) from October 7.


The NTA issued a statement stating that an important milestone has been established in the mobile device market. It is expected that significant benefits will be obtained from the innovative initiative in the Nepali mobile device market as well as an improvement in industry transparency and regulation.

According to the NTA officials, the most important impact of MDMS will be a significant contribution to the national income growth through the mobile device market. Similarly, this system will also help ensure security by recording and tracking IEE numbers.


Officialsstated that this system will also help to control mobile phone related crimes by helping to locate stolen or lost mobile phones.
