NTA seeks suggestions from stakeholders to amend Cyber Security Bylaw

KATHMANDU, August 2: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has requested suggestions from stakeholders for the purpose of amending the Cyber Security Bylaw 2020.

KATHMANDU, August 2: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has requested suggestions from stakeholders for the purpose of amending the Cyber Security Bylaw 2020.


According to the NTA, this rule is being implemented to protect the ICT infrastructure and information system of telecommunication services from cyber attacks and potential risks by implementing cyber security standards and best practices.

It has been mentioned that the NTA has made such a rule to maintain the credibility of service users while using information and communication technology services. The NTA has asked the stakeholders to provide suggestions within 30 days saying that this regulation is in the process of revision.


The NTA has also requested telecommunication service providers to share any issues they may be facing and to include suggestions for improvements in the regulations.
