NTB and int’l carriers commit to work together for destination marketing

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) hosted a joint meeting with Board of Airlines Representatives of Nepal (BARN) in regards to the possible joint collaboration with BARN members. With a new budget for NTB under preparation for the upcoming fiscal year, the NTB elaborated on the events and international presence with fairs.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) hosted a joint meeting with Board of Airlines Representatives of Nepal (BARN) in regards to the possible joint collaboration with BARN members. With a new budget for NTB under preparation for the upcoming fiscal year, the NTB elaborated on the events and international presence with fairs.


According to NTB, BARN focused on doing various influencer marketing and working together for doing FAM Trips with NTB. Also, members of BARN were happy to go beyond their destination airport to feeder destinations like Europe/Americas/Australia. “Also, on this occasion most of the members at BARN were very cohesive to collaborate in possible ways for marketing efforts with the board,” NTB stated.

NTB CEO, Dr Dhananjay Regmi emphasized on building Nepal as a premier destination at the global front with collaboration with international airlines. He said the major focus for this fiscal year will be the potential but untapped Middle East Countries, considering the affluent segment, the huge expats numbers and the easy connectivity to Nepal.


The meeting concluded with a major decision of each international airline working with NTB separately for focused marketing and promotions in major destinations they operate, according to NTB.


NTB and the respective Airlines will be carrying the proposed activities through a joint MOU soon.
