Number of female voters up for provincial and parliamentary elections

POKHARA, Oct 7: The number of female voters for the parliamentary and provincial elections has increased significantly in Kaski. There are 39,599 new female voters as per the latest voter's list.

POKHARA, Oct 7: The number of female voters for the parliamentary and provincial elections has increased significantly in Kaski. There are 39,599 new female voters as per the latest voter's list.

According to the Regional Election Office (REO), Kaski, there are altogether 1,36,175 female voters for the upcoming election. The upcoming election has been scheduled for December 15. Earlier, there were altogether 1,04,576 female voter in Kaski. 

Likewise, the number of male voters has declined for the upcoming elections. There were 1,20,230 male voters in the earlier election but now there are only 1,19,302 of them. 

Ganga Lal Subedi, an official at the REO said, “This time, more female voters have registered their names while most of the male voters could not register their names for various reasons. Foreign employment is the major cause for the decrease in male voters in the district.”
