The number of patients at the hospital has surged due to the increase in the cold in the last few days, said Dr Udaya Narayan Singh, the information officer of Narayani Hospital. He said 30 to 40 patients suffering from cough and cold, fever, pneumonia and other diseases have been visiting the hospital daily, seeking medication.
According to him, the hospital is struggling to cope up with the surge in patients due to a shortage of beds. Dr Singh added that they are treating patients, keeping them on the floor for the lack of beds.
