HUMLA, March 28: A total of 2,340 quintals of fortified rice have been brought to Humla. Officer Nabin Prasad Acharya of the branch office of the Food Management and Trade Company Ltd said that rice transported by foot and air is being sold now. He said that 890 quintals of fortified rice that arrived at the warehouse of the food corporation branch was sold in Simkot.
He further said that 107 quintals of rice was sold from the distribution center in North Namkha Rural Municipality of the district and 200 quintals from the Srinagar distribution center.

According to Acharya, eight types of nutrients have been added to the rice. Meanwhile, 14,000 quintals of rice allocated for Humla is also being transported. Of them 8,500 quintals of rice of the regular quota, which has not been used before, has been brought by air.
