KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Supporters of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) have staged a rally demanding the scrapping of the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement at Babarmahal on Friday, 31 December 2021.

The party has been holding various demonstration programs stating that the MCC agreement will threaten the independence and sovereignty of the country. Claiming that the MCC agreement is part of the US’s Indo-Pacific strategy, the party believes that it is against Nepal's non-aligned foreign policy.
