OHCHR to provide technical support to Nepal

KATHMANDU, July 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, has said the role played by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Nepal was significant. 


During the meeting with Asia Pacific Chief of OHCHR, Jyoti Sanghera, on Thursday, Foreign Minister Mahara expressed the belief that the remaining task of the peace process would complete with mutual cooperation and understanding.

He also said that the country would focus its attention on economic development after the completion of the peace process along with successful implementation of the constitution. 


Saying the peace process of the Nepal has moved ahead successfully, Sanghera expressed commitment to provide necessary technical and other supports for the same, stated the Foreign Ministry. RSS
