Omar Abdullah comes out in support of Zaira Wasim after she receives flak for quitting Bollywood on religious grounds. In what came as a shocker to the entire B-town, actress Zaira Wasim took to her social media handles today in the morning to announce that she is quitting her career in Bollywood as according to her it interfered with her faith and religion. No sooner did she do, the young actress received a backlash from the social media users who questioned her decision.

Jammu and Kashmir’s former CM Omar Abdullah recently came out in support of the young actress and her decision. According to him, we are nobody to question her choices. And that it is her life and it is up to her to do what she pleases.

Taking to the twitter handle, Omar wrote, ‘Who are any of us to question @ZairaWasimmm’s choices? It’s her life to do with as she pleases. All I will do is wish her well & hope that whatever she does makes her happy.’ Earlier today, Zaira, in a detailed post on her Instagram handle, said she realized "though I may fit here perfectly, I do not belong here".

On the work front, she will next be seen in Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky is Pink’, which also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles. The film completed shooting in March.
