One dies in lightning strikes in Palpa

KATHMANDU, June 17: A man died after being hit by a lightning strike in Palpa.

KATHMANDU, June 17: A man died after being hit by a lightning strike in Palpa.


Sugandha Shrestha, information officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Palpa, said that Bimal Prasad Panta, 56, a resident of Dandagaun, Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality -3, was killed in the lightning strike.

According to DSP Shrestha, the incident took place around 6:30 PM and Panta was struck at his home.


Panta was rushed to Lumbini Medical College, Prabhas, for treatment but the doctors declared him dead during treatment.
