KATHMANDU, July 9: A person has died when two scooters collided with each other in Bhaktapur.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning when a scooter (Bagmati Pra -02-022 Pa 1748) en route to Kathmandu world school from Kutunje Subarneshwor and another scooter (Bagmati Pra 0217 Pa 5092) coming from the opposite direction collided with each other.

According to the District Police Range Bhaktapur, the scooter (Bagmati Pra -02-022 Pa 1748)’s driver , Rajaram Thapa Magar, 22, a resident of Katunje Thapagaun, Suryabinayak Municipality-5 was injured in the accident. Thapa was rushed to the Bhaktapur hospital for treatment and doctors declared him dead while undergoing treatment.
Rajan Karki, information officer at the Police Range, said that the driver of another scooter, Parbati Nagarkoti, 49, of Gundu Magargaun,Suryabinayak Municipality-5 was injured in the accident. Karki said that Nagarkoti is currently receiving treatment in the Madhyapur Hospital, Thimi Bhaktapur.
Police said that they have taken control of both scooters and further investigation is underway.
