PANCHTHAR, Dec 2: One person died and two others injured in a road accident along the Mechi Highway in Panchthar on Tuesday night.
The incident took place when a jeep skidded some 150 meters off the road and plunged into a gorge at Phidim Municipality-1.

The deceased has been identified as Arjun Shanker, a local resident of Phidim-1. The man died on the spot.
Parbat Gurung from Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-1, and Arjun Magar from Garamuni, Jhapa, have sustained injuries in the incident. Both the injured have been undergoing treatment at Birtacity Hospital, Jhapa.
