One killed in Dolakha as police open fire, four ballot boxes captured

DOLAKAHA, May 14: One person is killed when the police opened the fire at the Pabati polling center of Melung rural municipality-1.

 DOLAKAHA, May 14: One person is killed when the police opened fire at the Pabati polling center of Melung rural municipality-1.


The police deployed to maintain the security at the center under the command of Inspector Binod Sunuwar opened the fire to control the clash among the cadres of the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML. The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.Ten people are seriously injured and the preparation is going on to airlift them to Kathmandu for the further treatment, informed the assistant Chief District Officer, Yagya Raj Bhatta.

According to him, an unidentified group has captured four ballot boxes and to control over the situation, the security force was compelled to open the fire.
