BAITADI, Jan 25: One person was killed while three others were injured in a wild boar attack in Baitadi on Monday evening.

BAITADI, Jan 25: One person was killed while three others were injured in a wild boar attack in Baitadi on Monday evening.


Manorath Joshi, 77, of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-1 was killed when he tried to chase the wild boar that had entered the village from the forest Monday evening, according to Inspector Darshan Khadka, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi.

Police Inspector Khadka said that Joshi succumbed to his injuries at Dadeldhura Hospital on Monday night while undergoing treatment.


Meanwhile, local residents Baldev Karki, Birbhan Sarki and Haridatta Joshi were injured in the incident. Baldev is undergoing treatment in Dhangadhi while Birbhan and Haridatta Joshi received treatment at the local health facility, according to police.


Wild animals have been terrorizing the place in recent times.
