One way resumes along Narayangadh - Mugling road section

RATNANAGAR, Aug 4: The Narayangadh- Mugling road section which was blocked due to a landslide at Ghumaune of Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been opened for one-way traffic after four hours.

RATNANAGAR, Aug 4: The Narayangadh- Mugling road section which was blocked due to a landslide at Ghumaune of Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been opened for one-way traffic after four hours. 


The District Police Office, Chitwan said the road was obstructed due to the deposition of landslide debris at 6 am today has been opened for single-lane traffic from 10.30 am.

The vehicles that were stranded have now been allowed to move to their respective destinations, Chitwan District Traffic Police Office chief, Bed Prasad Gautam, said. According to him, stones have been dropping on the road from above at the landslide site even at present and efforts are on to open the road for two-way traffic by removing the landslide debris with the help of loader. 


Rain that started occurring since last night triggered the landslip. Vehicles coming from Kathmandu were stopped at Muglin and vehicles outbound from Chitwan were stopped at Simaltal following the landslide. There is a long queue of vehicles at the place.  RSS
