KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former minister for communications, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has claimed that only his party has the most acceptable person to be elected as the next President of the country.
Karki also argued that the NC gave a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to make his party’s candidate for the post of President acceptable to all. Speaking at the inauguration of the administrative building of Harinagar Rural Municipality in Sunsari, Karki said that KP Oli, chairman of CPN-UML has been showing “childish stubbornness” saying that his party's candidate has national consensus for the presidency; “however it could not move the country forward.”

NC leader Karki said that there is no situation wherein his party needs to compromise for power. It was his understanding that the NC would not seek power but it would come by itself.
