Will decide once we receive ruling coalition's response: Oppn

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: A meeting of the opposition parties has decided to seek the clear-cut views from the major ruling parties on the constitution amendment bill and move ahead accordingly.

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: A meeting of the opposition parties has decided to seek the clear-cut views from the major ruling parties on the constitution amendment bill and move ahead accordingly.


Talking to journalists after the meeting, UML Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal said that the opposition parties have not got the clear views from the major ruling coalition Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) on the constitution amendment bill.


Rawal further said that his party’s chief whiff will put forth their concerns in the Parliament and will move ahead in accordance with the response they will receive from the ruling parties.


The nine opposition parties had held a meeting to set a strategy before the Parliament meeting scheduled for 2 pm today.

He also reiterated that opposition parties have already welcomed the election date announced by the government, referring to the Article 274 (2) of the Constitution.
