KATHMANDU, April 12: The government has declared orange as the national fruit.


Rekha Sharma, Minister for Communication and Information Technology, said that a Cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to declare orange as the national fruit on the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.

Orange is one of the most popular fruits of Nepal. Nepal has some famous pocket areas of orange production. Orange has been declared as the national fruit to help increase production.
