“With the authentication in place, the President has expressed hope to bring political stability,” Bhesh Raj Adhikari, the President's Chief Personal Secretary said.

Debate between the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML had delayed the authentication of the Ordinance which had been pending at the Office of the President since November.

Post federal and provincial assembly elections, the election to the National Assembly could not proceed ahead in the absence of this ordinance. Likewise, the Election Commission also was in a fix to declare full election result of the House of Representatives towards the proportional representation system due to this.
