JAJARKOT, May 26: The air travel to Humla has been inconvenient to the general public due to distribution of ticket tickets based on access to power corridors. The public has to suffer a lot to get flight tickets and these tickets are also becoming extremely costly.
Tara Air and Summit Airlines are the only private airlines that have been flying to Humla while the place has not yet been connected to the road network. According to passengers, they have to pay Rs 10,000 for traveling from Humla to Surkhet and Rs 7,000 for Surkhet from Humla.

Similarly, passengers have been further affected due to lack of flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). Locals have urged Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi and Tshiring Damdul (Karchen) Lama, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment to operate additional flights to make their travel easier.
Prem Shahi of Kharpunath Rural Municipality-1 said that he had to return empty-handed even after going to the airport for a week to get a flight ticket to Nepalgunj. "Tara Air flies only one flight a day. It is difficult to get a ticket," he complained.
The air travel from Nepalgunj to Humla is more expensive than Surkhet while people face similar problems to go to Dolpa. Passengers have to pay Rs. 9,000 to travel to Dolpa from Nepalgunj and Rs. 5,000 on the way back due to which the use of roadways to Dolpa has been increasing.
