Over 100,000 tourists visit Nepal monthly on average

KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal has recorded the arrival of more than 100,000 foreign tourists in a month.

KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal has recorded the arrival of more than 100,000 foreign tourists in a month.


According to Nepal Tourism Board, the country received a total of 416,069 tourists in the previous four months, averaging over 100,000 arrivals monthly.

Month-wise data indicates 79,100 visitors in January, 97,426 in February, 128,167 in March, and 111,376 in April.


India contributed the highest number of visitors, with 110,573 Indian nationals visiting Nepal during this period. Following closely behind were tourists from China, totaling 38,290, and the United States of America (USA), with 36,846 arrivals.


Likewise, Nepal welcomed significant numbers of tourists from the UK, Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, and several other countries.
