KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The House meeting today unanimously passed the proposal tabled seeking considerations on three bills relating to the formation of constitutional commissions.

The proposal tabled by Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hit Raj Pandey included the 'National Dalit Commission Bill, 2073', 'National Inclusive Commission Bill, 2073' and 'Indigenous Nationalities Commission Bill, 2073'.

Responding to queries raised at the meeting, Minister Pandey said the government has brought the bills to form constitutional commissions and that the bills could be amended with necessary suggestions from consultations at the meeting.

Putting their views at the meeting, some lawmakers had their reservations about the word 'Dalit' in the bills while all participating lawmakers suggested making the bills nationalist and inclusive. RSS
