KATHMANDU, June 27: The Parliamentary Probe Committee formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds has decided to seek documents from nine different cooperatives.
Surya Bahadur Thapa, coordinator of the committee, said that the committee has decided to send a letter to provide relevant documents from the cooperatives regarding the loans provided to the Gorkha Media Network.

The committee decided to demand the documents from the cooperative organizations such as Ideal Yamuna Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd, Image Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd, Samanata Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd, Sahar Nepal Saving & Credit Co-operative Society Ltd, Sano Paila Saving & Credit Ltd, Suryadarshan Saving & Credit, Sumeru Saving & Credit Co-operative Ltd, and Swarnalaxmi Saving & Credit Co-operative Ltd.
The committee was formed after the Nepali Congress continuously obstructed parliament alleging the misappropriation of cooperative funds by Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane when he was serving as the managing director of Gorkha Media Network.
