KHOTANG. Nov 23: Political parties are breaching the Election Commission’s order to maintain silence and are engaging in publicity. While posters and palmplets are not to be displayed in any public places, Diktel, the district’s headquarter is full of party symbols of democratic and left alliances and other political parties. Situation is same in other market areas of the district.

Today, the Election Commission has ordered a ‘silence period’ in 32 districts where elections for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly are to take place in another four days. However, at Diktel, vehicles carry speakers and circle the area promoting party and its election symbols.
