BHAKTAPUR, Nov 2: Along with the election fever, the candidates of the political parties in Bhaktapur have started protesting against the delay in the construction of the Nagarkot road in Bhaktapur. They blocked the road for two hours on Wednesday morning.
With the participation of the candidates of various political parties in the area, the road was blocked from eight o'clock in the morning at the Bhaktapur Kamalbinayak road leading to Nagarkot road. The program led by the Nagarkot Naldum Tourism Development Committee was led by the candidates from the ruling coalition, UML, RPP etc.

Sunil Gothe, the candidate of Bhaktapur Constituency 1 in from the ruling coalition, Nawaraj Gelal, the candidate of CPN-UML, and others participated in the program. In addition, Jeevan Khatri, who won the mayorship of Changunarayan Municipality from the Nepali Congress, also participated in the protest program.
Besides, the candidates from the ruling coalition, UML, and RPP candidates for Bhaktapur Constituency 1 (a) also participated in the protest program. Independent candidates also participated. In the program, various leaders demanded that the Nagarkot road be built as soon as possible. Even though the representatives of the political parties left after the program, the local residents have been blocking the road.
