KATHMANDU, Feb 28: A high profile clash between defending champion Lalitpur Patriots and Pokhara Rhinos will kick-off the third edition of Everest Premier League (EPL) on March 14.
The final is set to be played on March 28 in a fixtures released on Thursday by EPL, the lucrative premier T20 cricket event of Nepal.
Patriots boasting the likes of former Sri Lanka captain Upul Tharanga and Nepal captain Gyanendra Malla will be locking horns with Rhinos which has announced the signing of West Indian duo of Chris Gayle and Kesrick Williams.

Similarly, in a bid to negotiate the morning conditions heavily favoring the bowling teams, the first match of the double-header days will start on new time, at 10 am, half-an-hour later than previous editions.
Likewise, the second match of the day will start at 2 pm which includes the opening match, group stage matches and the knock-out games.
There will be a rest day before the final.
Players like Irish Paul Stirling (Chitwan Tigers), West Indian Dwayne Smith (Bhairahawa Gladiators), Kevin O’Brien (Kathmandu Kings XI), etc will light up the EPL this year.
Patriots had defeated Gladiators in the final match to lift the last edition of EPL.
