On the occasion, the participants of the event pledged to make their best to establish Kaski, a district free from the practice of animal sacrifice and continue their campaign for discouraging animal sacrifice taking place in the Hindu temples across the country.

Sushma Poudel, one of the participants of the rally, termed the practice of animal slaughter taking place in the name religion 'a religious and social taboo', calling for its immediate stoppage.

We decided to conclude the rally upon arriving here (Shanti or peace Stupa) as we wished to give the message to others that Kaski is peaceful and animal sacrifice is coming to an end here soon, she said. RSS
