KATHMANDU, Feb 17: The Ministry of Health and Population has clarified that the people who have been vaccinated with Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine can also get booster doses.
Issuing a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said that the booster dose could be given to those who have already been vaccinated with J&J vaccine. The ministry issued a notice in response to inquiries from the districts as to what to do to the people who have received the first dose of J&J vaccine.

According to the ministry, like other vaccinated persons, a person who is 18 years or above and has been vaccinated with J&J can get a booster dose after six months of getting the first J&J jab.
The ministry has said that they can be vaccinated with J&J vaccine if possible and if the vaccine is not available, the people can be vaccinated with Covishield, AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer as a booster dose.
