KATHMANDU, Feb 23: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court on Wednesday against the government's ambassadorial picks.

While making the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, parliament, and the Office of the President as defendants, the writ petitioner Rakshya Ram Harijan has demanded an interim order against the decision as the recommendations breached the inclusive principles adhered to by the constitution.

The petitioner has argued that the recommendations are not only in breach of the fundamental rights but also the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the people.

The writ petitioner has demanded annulment of the recommendations and asked the court to instruct the government to make new recommendations based on the principles of inclusion.
